No. Kizuna is a platform that connects families with trusted, independent caregivers.
How does Kizuna differ from home care agencies?
Kizuna offers a more personalized and affordable alternative to home care agencies. Unlike an agency that will simply send the next available caregiver, we carefully match you with independent caregivers based on your specific care needs and preferences, and provide you with ongoing care support. Because we don’t take a cut of the caregiver’s hourly rate, families pay less while caregivers earn more. Unlike agencies, we don’t require hourly minimums, so you can get the right level of support for your schedule. The result is greater control, flexibility, and transparency for everyone.
What types of care does Kizuna support?
We support a wide range of home care needs, from everyday help to specialized support. Some of the most common needs are: Companionship, Medical Management, Personal Care, Meal Preparation, Transportation, Light Housekeeping, Memory Care, Physical Therapy Assistance, Respite Care, Post-Surgery Care and Live-In Care.
How are Kizuna caregivers vetted?
To join Kizuna, caregivers must have a verifiable, state-issued caregiving certification, pass a phone screen, provide two references, and complete a comprehensive background check. Our rigorous screening process means only about 10% of independent caregivers are approved to be listed on our platform.
How does pricing work?
Caregivers set their own hourly rate. Families pay the caregiver’s hourly rate, and Kizuna charges a 10% service fee on top of the hours billed. This fee covers the support and infrastructure that makes care easier and more reliable, including caregiver matching, hiring support, payments, and ongoing support for families and caregivers.

Absolutely! You can meet and interview caregivers before choosing the right fit for your family.
