Kizuna is a care collective that offers a more personalized and affordable alternative to traditional care agencies. We don’t assign the next available caregiver. Instead, we carefully match you with independent caregivers based on your specific care needs and preferences. Because we don’t take a cut of the caregiver’s hourly rate, families pay less while caregivers earn more. The result is greater control, flexibility, and transparency for everyone.

What types of care does Kizuna support?

Caregivers on Kizuna offer non-medical support like personal care, meal prep, companionship, transportation, and light housekeeping. Many also have experience with conditions like dementia, stroke recovery, and cancer care.

How are Kizuna caregivers vetted?

To become a caregiver on Kizuna candidates must have a verifiable state-issued caregiving certification, pass a phone screen, provide two references and complete a comprehensive background check. Our rigorous screening criteria means only 10% of caregivers are accepted.

What happens if my caregiver is unavailable?

In case of emergencies, we’ll coordinate a temporary caregiver replacement when possible.

How does pricing work?

At Kizuna, caregivers set their own hourly rates, starting at $25 per hour—nearly half the cost of traditional agencies. Your Kizuna membership covers caregiver matching, payroll, tax filings, and ongoing support, making it simple to find, hire, and pay for great care. For full details, view our pricing page.

Absolutely! You’ll have the opportunity to meet caregivers virtually or in person before making any commitments, so you can feel confident in your choice.
